CELEBRATION: Friar Phage Hunters Present their Research at the 3rd Annual Celebration of Student Scholarship and Creativity

On April 25, 2012, the Friar Phage Hunters headed off to present our phage posters at Providence College’s Third Annual Celebration of Student Scholarship & Creativity which was held in Slavin Center.  I think it’s safe to say that we definitely made quite an impression wearing our new orange SEA ReSEArch shirts from HHMI.

During the two hour event, all of us got a chance to present our posters, to eat to our hearts content, and to learn about the scholarship of other PC students working at the college.  Research that science students had participated in ranged from studying the nerve systems of squids and Alzheimer’s disease to developing eco-friendly toilets.  The creative work of many art students was also shown at the event.  Father Shanley, president of Providence College, even stopped by to talk to Stephen about his poster!  Good food and classy shirts. Who could ask for a better poster session?
